Description: Using this technique, one gathers some water from the air and surrounding environment into one thousand long needles. He then directs them to a specific target at high speed, leaping backwards before impact so he doesn't get caught in the crossfire. While the needles do surround a target from all sides, they don't appear above the target, creating an escape route.

After a being gone for a couple months, Jinpachi returns to the Mist Village ready to train. Jinpachi, using chakra bursts, leaves the village and gets to the top of a cliff, so that he can try to find a place to train. He spots a cavern about 30 feet from the town entrance and remembers hearing rumors of strange sounds coming from inside.

"I should head to that cave, if what I heard is true, then I can get some actual training done and practice my jutsu in real combat or at least on a target, can't pass up an opportunity like this."

Jinpachi heads off towards the cavern, conserving his chakra so that he can use it to train his jutsu.

Jinpachi arrives at the cave after traveling for about five minutes. He starts by putting his equipment behind a rock and sits on a stump to begin meditating.

I need to calm my mind and think about my training. So there are supposed to be strange noises, which could mean some animals or creatures are living in this cave. I must be cautious and ready for anything. I'm going to leave my equipment here, because I need to focus on jutsu training, if I bring my tools, it could be a distraction.

Sounds echo from the cave, a screech and then a splatter. Jinpachi focuses his mind and tries to see if there is any chakra flowing in the cave, but nothing can be seen. Jinpachi picks himself up, and readies himself to enter the cave.

After some preparation, Jinpachi heads into the cave, ready for the worst. As he enters, he hears echoing water droppings from the ceiling, and can feel him stepping on puddles as his shoes become soaked. Jinpachi begins to lose visual as he dwells deeper into the cavern, he starts to rely on sound.

I think that this is a good a place as any to start training. I'll try my jutsu a couple times. Best try just the basic first.

"Ice Style: Thousand Flying Deathly Water Needles!"

Twenty-five ice needles form from the falling water from the ceiling and is shot forward. Jinpachi heard an impalement. "What was that?" He moved forward, being careful to listen for anything.

Jinpachi hears growling from deeper within the cave and a spire from the ceiling drop above him. He jumps to the side avoiding the spire, and hears an animal charge at him. All of a sudden, there are more all around him, but he can't see any of them.

I can't see anything, I shouldn't have been so unprepared, I was a fool to think I could come in here like this, I need to go get my stuff.

Jinpachi begins to run towards the entrance of the cave, however a couple of the animals block the way out. The light reveals that they are wolves, and they have already gone feral. A wolf jumps on his back and pushes him to the ground, but Jinpachi puts his hand on the ground and pushes himself up onto the ceiling and pushes chakra to his feet to stand on the ceiling.

Well, it looks like my equipment is out of this situation until I can get rid of these wolves. I gotta do what I can I suppose, a real ninja adapts to any situation.

Howling at Jinpachi, a couple of the wolves lead a charge attack. Jinpachi takes a tackle to the chest, then throws the wolf at another. He feels a stinging at his leg as he notices another wolf has bit into his leg.

I can't keep this up, there are too many of them, and I cannot see them. I must do something about this, but what can I do? I cannot make it to the outside, and even if I could, I'm already hurt, I have to find something I can do. Maybe I can just hit everything with the water dripping from the ceiling. I only have one chance, I have to make this count.

"Ice Style: Thousand Flying Deathly Water Needles!" About 50 ice needles form from the water, but Jinpachi chooses for them to be pushed down instead of forward. The ice stabs into the body of the wolves, but none strike to kill, but instead to slow down the pack. Jinpachi then sees an opening from the pack and breaks for the exit. Grabbing his gear, Jinpachi readies for a real fight.

Shortly after getting suited back up, the wolves exit the cave. The wolves begin to circle Jinpachi, and the alpha then becomes apparent.

Now that I have my equipment, I can take care of these wolves, I should start by eliminating the alpha. I'll try to make this short. There are eight wolves, one alpha, if I kill the alpha, then the others should disperse.

Jinpachi charges into the alpha, but it howls and three of the other wolves charge. Jinpachi sees them charge and jumps back, throwing kunai at the wolves, but the wolves dodge out of the way.

I can't be clumsy with these kunai, these wolves are smart and I shouldn't underestimate them. I'll tie them to my string, I'll try to retrieve those kunai I just threw as well.

Jinpachi ties his string on the end of his kunai and charges back at the alpha. The alpha signals for other wolves to defend him, so Jinpachi throws two kunai at the charging wolves. As the wolves dodged, Jinpachi pull his wired kunai back and changed direction to the other thrown kunai. He grabs them and jumps back into the center of the circle, ready to attack again.

This isn't working, I need to head back into the cave, I have my equipment back, I can use the water to create ice if I go back into the cave. I should eliminate some of these other wolves, then find a source of light.

Jinpachi draws his katana, and lunges at the other wolves. The wolves wait for the alphas signal, but it doesn't give one, and a wolf falls to Jinpachi's blade. A second and third wolf lunges for Jinpachi's leg that was biten. Jinpachi dodges one wolf and shoves his blade into its neck, but the third wolf bites his leg and Jinpachi falls after killing the third wolf.

I have to do something about these bites, I have no medical training though, and I don't have any medical supplies. Maybe I can freeze it closed for now until I can get back to the village, but I need to find some time. I still need to find some light, what can I do?

Jinpachi looks at a tree near by, it looks like the tree has been scratched at by the wolves previously, so they must not be able to climb it. He runs to the tree with chakra bursts and climbs onto the branch, the remaining wolves circle around the perimeter of the tree.

While in the tree, Jinpachi sheathes his sword and focuses on the blood coming out of his leg. He begins to concentrate on freezing the layer of blood oozing out.

Now that I have stopped the bleeding, I need to get back to the village quickly so that I can get some medical attention. I should take care of these wolves still though. I can't have them getting to the village and attacking anyone.

Jinpachi focuses his chakra, but a couple wolves break off and start to charge the tree, ramming him out of the branches. On the way down, some branches break off and Jinpachi thinks of a way to catch them on fire to light the cave.

With these branches, and some explosive tags, I should be able to create a sustainable light source. Well, here goes nothing.

Jinpachi throws an explosive tag into the center of the wolves. The tag explodes and several wolves get caught in the explosion. Two of the wolves die, but the other two wolves take a burn and flee into the cave. The alpha and the remaining two follow after as Jinpachi jumps over the explosion with a couple thick branches, catches them aflame and runs after them into the cave.

Following after the wolves, Jinpachi shoves a branch into the earth closer to the entrance, and when the last five wolves charge back after him, he stabs the other branch into a wolf and shoves him against a wall by jumping off of it into another wolf, where he grabs his katana and pushes it into the back of it.

Looks like the alpha and two wolves remain, this shouldn't be too much difficulty now. I should try to use my jutsu now that I have less to focus on.

"Ice Style: Thousand Flying Deathly Water Needles!" Close to 75 needles form and lunge towards the wolves. The alpha wolf jumps back a distance out of the radius, but the other two wolves fall victim to the needles.

I need to get that alpha, I can't let him get away, he could lead more wolves to be feral and try to attack the village.

Jinpachi grabs the impaled branch, and rushes after the alpha with his katana in the other hand.

Once the alpha reached the end of the cave, Jinpachi was right behind it. "This has gone on long enough, I'm gonna take you back to my village and feed on your insides! Now die!"

Jinpachi shoved the branch into ground, looked back to make sure he could see the other branch. After confirming his surroundings, Jinpachi through two kunai with wire to the ground by the branch he just put down, and two more right in front of the alpha. The alpha charges at Jinpachi, falling for the wire trap. The wire wraps around its legs and it falls to the ground. Jinpachi walks closer to the alpha, but the alpha bites through the wire and runs for the outside of the cave.

"There is no escape you wild beast, you're going down!" Jinpachi exclaimed with a twisted look in his face. "Like I told you before, I'm going to feed on your insides!"

The wolf ran faster, like it heard what Jinpachi was saying, but tripped on the second wire set. Jinpachi threw his windmill shuriken right in front of the alpha, to block his path, and came down out of no where on the wolf's neck with his katana.

Jinpachi wraps up the wolf and prepares to head off to the village. "I should try the jutsu one more time, see if I can get all 100 needles. I want to practice them on something, I'll try this wolf, I doubt this meat is any good, but if it doesn't rip it apart, then it's just ice."

Jinpachi throws the wolf back into cave and readies his chakra. "Ice Style: Thousand Flying Deathly Water Needles!" One-hundred needles form and are shot into the wolf, ripping it apart before it touches the ground.

Well, I'd say that was beyond successful, looks like I should just head back now and get a bite to eat, I wonder what Raikunagi and Kodaisame is up to right about now, maybe I should go check in with them.
