Description: Kai is a Ninjutsu which allows the ninja to avoid the effects of a Genjutsu illusion. After forming a tiger or ram handsign, the Genjutsu technique will not affect the ninja. The ninja can also use the technique on another individual who was unable to avoid the attack. After forming the needed hand seal, the ninja touches the one affected to end the affect of the spell.

As he fell through air; descending downward toward the large bushes that lined the base of the hospital's exterior, Wysal could not help but feel a great sensation of relaxation and freedom. Just moments before, he had been strapped down and bonded to a hospital bed, inside a stuffy room with one window to the outside world, a window that he could not even lift his head to see. He had felt so helpless, confused and down right lost.

Now, as he dropped like a heavy weighted stone, he felt as free as a soaring raven and for a moment he stretched his arms as though they were his beautiful black wings. Luckily, the outstretching of his arms is what allowed him a less painful impact with the bushes he fell into. If not for his arms hitting first and softening his weighted fall, the brunt force trauma on his head might have been enough to knock him unconscious and land him right back inside the room he had just came crashing out of. That was something he most definitely did not want happening and as he collected himself and pried his way out of the entangling foliage, he looked up to see where he had come from.

Peering upward with a tired, weary gaze, Wysal's eyes fell upon the sight of the broken window; some three stories above. Now, he had just been thankful that these large bushes had been here to catch him. Otherwise, not only would he be back inside the hospital, but he wouldn't be finding the answers to his questions any time soon at all.

Shaking away the past, he lowered his gaze to the ground around him, examining all the shards of broken glass that had made the decent with him. His eyes then lowered further, as he examined the bare feet and flexing toes that greeted him in subtle, knuckle-rolling waves. The sight was an unusual one to say the least, since Wysal could not even recall the last time he had taken his boots off. This was a problem.

With careful foot placement amidst the sea of green grass blades and shimmering broken glass, he slowly made his way away from the bushes and toward the front of the building. Upon reaching the pathway that met with the stairs and lead to the front doors of the edifice, his eyes rose once more to read the sign that hung from the building's face.

::Konoha Hospital::

Konoha!? questioned Wysal within the darkness of his mind.

As he stood for several moments, reading and re reading the sign that hung before him, he could not help but feel that maybe his eyes were mistaken. However, despite how many times he rubbed his eyes or blinked his eye lids, the same characters always presented themselves on the same sign. Wysal could not seem to comprehend just how he had managed to end up in the Village Hidden in the Leaves. Especially when his last memories were of the Hidden Mist Village, which was rather far away from here.

His thoughts and pondering on the past were interrupted as the door in front of him opened and several men in white lab coats began to emerge. There purpose was clear by the look in their eyes and their body language as they poured from the small entrance way and began descending the small stair set that lead toward Wysal.

Turning his head quickly, Wysal looked for some way out, and just when it seemed like there was none to find, he spotted a young woman coming down the pathway toward the hospital. Taking advantage of the opportunity, Wysal spun on his bare heels and tried to make a move toward the girl. Suddenly he felt the hands of one of the white-coated men on his shoulders and he panicked, believing maybe he had been caught.

"Shunshin no Jutsu!" yelled Wysal as he forcefully thrust his elbows backward into the man holding him and leaned forward to escape.

In the blink of an eye, Wysal came skidding to a stop and looked around feverishly, trying to figure out where he had ended up. Turning around to face the hospital once again, he found himself a good distance down the pathway, past the young girl he had seen before. The high-speed movement had propelled him so quickly that he had passed his mark and now had to race back toward the hospital to catch up with her.

As he rushed back down the path toward the hospital's entrance, he reached his arm forward as he closed in on the girl from behind. In the next moment his hand was upon her and he slipped his arm around her neck, pulling her back and snatching her up in a choke hold.

The men in white lab coats all rushed forward, the one with the bruised ribs taking the lead and waving his arms at Wysal in disapproval.

"Stop right there young man! Unhand that girl!"

"Let her go! Just let her go!" the others cheered in unison, their expressions all showing equal concern.

Wysal's eyes narrowed as he looked upon the group of men and took a few steps backward, pulling the girl with him with each step.

"Help, Help me! PLEASE!" yelled the girl, her high-pitched tone almost deafening Wysal's ears.

Gritting his teeth slightly in response to the loud yelps, Wysal took another step back and tightened his choke on the girl's neck to discourage further screaming. As he turned his attention back to the men in the white coats, he locked eyes with one of the men in the back who was wearing glasses. In that very moment, Wysal suddenly felt sick to his stomach and his knees grew weak.

Genjutsu! commanded Wysal's mind, pleading with him to recognize and react to the technique.

Trying to take another step back, Wysal wondered if it was too late, as his legs felt as though they had fallen asleep and his grip loosened slightly around the girl's neck.

C'mon, think, there's a way out of this, Think damnit! shouted his mind, though his body knew not what to do.

He was slipping further and further into the doctor's illusion and though he tried to break eye contact he could not. Just when it felt like the tunnel vision was going to close in and lead him off to unconsciousness, his eyes caught sight of the girl's hands moving together and forming a sign.

Tiger? questioned his subconscious as he tried to hold on.

Suddenly, the girl slipped free from Wysal's grasp and spun him around, facing him away from the hospital and putting him in a choke hold of her own. He struggled to breathe as he felt her grip tighten and noticed the feeling of her warm breath against his neck. His ears then perked up as she whispered in his ear, biting his ear lobe softly as she spoke.

"You're lucky you're cute! now get out of here! Go!"

With that, she released her choke hold on him and planted her foot firmly into his lower back, shoving him hard and giving him a running start.

As he inhaled deeply, forcing air into his lungs, he realized his legs were not only no longer asleep but moving quickly in stride as he ran. The Genjutsu had been broken thanks to that girl's Tiger seal and Wysal was free once again.
